Relic
After several months of rows and hard graft, our house renovations are almost complete. Once we’re safely installed I plan to bring you a series of before-and-after posts explaining the changes we’ve made. To whet your appetite I thought I’d share a few of the relics we found in the house when we first bought it. They don’t feature in the new house just yet, but I might restore them over time and use them as decorative pieces.

I’ve got a pigsty right here… I should hoover. Yours may be re-purposed to serve as Beelzebub’s holding cell while you’re on hen house duties.

Why didn’t I think of that! I might actually build a similar containment device in the hen run!
I actually love the bath tub – I’d love to restore it. People use saunas a lot here – it would make a great plunge pool beside a sauna!

You could strap him up… hmmm… not boxers, far too roomy… a tight thong should do it. Latex! Though some are allergic to that, I’ve heard.

oh, when I was just a wee one I used to sneak into the loft of my grandma’s house. There was a crazy collection of old stuff over there, and I enjoyed myself going through things I did not even know the purpose of. The best thing huge and quite ancient wooden looms, which even in its disassembled state impressed me a lot with its size. I think it could have taken a full room’s space when it was actually used

Yeh, it was great fun going through the attic, Asta. The previous owner was 94 so there was all kinds of weird and wonderful stuff!
