Man in Motion

Man on swing | www.myfoododyssey.com

Whatever about me being a big kid, Arūnas is an even bigger one. He doesn’t do stationary – he likes to be on the move. Despite the motion blur you can still see the determination on his face to get higher and higher. It’s all part of his boyish charm, I guess. Luckily the swing was well cemented down – otherwise there probably would have been an injury.

I am almost 60 years young and I still LOVE to swing.

    • Good for you, Sue! It’s impossible not to smile while on a swing!

Never stop being a kid. It keeps us young. Looks like Arunas has that figured out. Does he like to hang upside down in trees too?

    • Yep, he sure does, Susan. He likes doing all “boy” things. Unfortunately for me he’s quite accident prone. How he’s still in one piece is beyond me!

  3. The only reason I would ever want a garden is so I could put a swing in it 🙂

  5. I loved to swing when I was a kid and I still do now at 59. I don’t like to go that high any more though. And I can’t fit in one of those swings any more. I can get my porch swing to go pretty good though. 😀

    • A gentle porch swing is perfect for me too, Cheryll!

      • Especially on a pretty morning with a cup of coffee and watching the farm animals grazing peacefully. And chickens scratching around. 🙂

  6. I can never resist the urge to jump on an empty swing and go a few rounds! Nothing like the feeling! Love this.

    • There’s definitely something liberating about it, Kathy. Not sure I’d want to go quite this high, though!

‘Oops-a-daisy’ springs to mind! Its something my Mum used to say when I was too adventurous in the playground and landed hard on my backside.

    • There are lots of oops-a-daisy moments with Arunas, Gary. Except instead of landing on his ass he’s more likely to land on his head! I can only imagine Nana’s reaction if she saw you swinging that high!
