My Food Odyssey Calendar 2016

Calendar 2016 | www.myfoododyssey.com

As the evenings grow ever shorter and the year draws to a close, I have been looking back on the last year and, indeed, over the last three years since this blog began. Both the blog and I have come a long way. Initially it was a food and travel blog, covering our journey through Europe discovering the wonderful food and drinks on offer. Then we settled here in Lithuania and it became more about our personal journey with food and our life here, growing our own vegetables and enjoying country life.

Photography has always been a big feature of the blog and my skills with a camera have been slowly and steadily improving. Many of you have been kind enough to comment on my photographs and my photo posts are among the most popular on the blog. I know I still have lots to learn, but I am proud of the photos I am currently producing.

As much as I have been reflecting on the past few years I have also been looking to the future. I have been writing this blog for the past three years purely as a hobby, feeling my way and developing my writing skills. Buoyed by my recent Gold Medal Award at Blog Awards Ireland, I feel I am ready to go pro, even if just to a small extent. I put a huge amount of time into my posts and photos and really need to feel that is time well spent.

Inspired by fellow blogger Margaret, I have decided to compile some of my most popular photos from the past year into a calendar. The calendar features 13 beautiful images from a cross-section of my food, gardening and country life shots. All have been re-edited into special editions for the calendar. There is also one exclusive photo which has not been featured anywhere on the blog. The calendar is printed in full colour on high quality paper and includes both Irish & US public holidays.

Calendars cost €15.00 each NOW ON OFFER AT €9.99! each, plus €3.60 for postage and packing (flat rate to all countries). I have ordered a limited print run initially, so if you are interested in the calendar please order early to avoid disappointment, especially if ordering as Christmas presents.

Thank you all for reading and supporting me these past few years – writing is really not much fun without someone to read what you’ve written.

Lovely calendar, I recently made one myself. My favourite pictures with quotes about the 12 months 🙂 If you yourself don’t appreciate what you make, nobody will 🙂

    • I know – they’re fabulous, aren’t they?! I developed a complete fascination with them this summer, starting with the tiny nymph I found on my tomato plants. Their camouflage is amazing – this was the greatest background contrast I could get. I have a few photos of them on green leaves when you really could be forgiven for thinking I was winding you up!
