Hi, I’m June and I live deep in the Lithuanian countryside. I like to grow vegetables and go for long walks with the dog, but mostly I like food – thinking about it, talking about it, travelling in search of it and, of course, eating it. I try to cook everything from scratch using local ingredients. Please have a look around – welcome to My Food Odyssey.

They are a sight to see. I miss having a garden. Enjoy yours.

Beautiful flower…won’t be long now, you’ll have zucchinis coming out of your ears!

I know – once they start they just keep coming! I reckon if I pluck some when they’re small to eat the flowers I might keep them under control – for now!

I love them. Sautéed in butter… yum!

I’ve heard so many good reports about eating them – I’ll add this to the list of cooking preparations I’m going to try this year.

Thanks Natalia. I’ve heard they’re delicious fried but I’ve never had them. I’m determined to try them this year.
