The picturesque village of Roquefort in southern France, home to one of my favourite cheeses, is surrounded by the most stunning rocky mountains. I was very happy to see that the villagers had left decent gaps between buildings on the main street so that the view was not totally obscured.

    • We got fantastic weather in the south of France – sunny but not too hot. Between that, the cheese and the wine I was in heaven!
Did you here we’re due the hottest weather in living memory for the next three weeks?!

      • I find it hard to believe right now but I’m willing to be surprised! The forecast says low 20s!

      • I think it’s due to begin on July 1st. I had been complaining about the miserable weather we’ve had all June. Not sure if I’ll survive 50 degrees, though! Timed to load the freezer with ice cream.

    • It’s definitely worth a visit, Alicja, especially if you’re a fan of the cheese. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.
