Summer Lovin’

Mont Blanc, Chamonix | www.myfoododyssey.com

Ah, summer. Long, sunny days. Beaches. Suntans. A bit of snow. I love this photo of Arūnas and me up Mont Blanc last summer. It looks like it has been photoshopped or taken in front of a poster, but those are real, live climbers behind us. It was about 28 degrees on the ground that day and about minus 3 at the top of the mountain – brrr! The only thing we could do to keep warm was huddle together. Summer lovin’, indeed!

  1. I could do with some of that snow right now. A quick roll in some snow would definitely help me cool for a while 🙂

    • I know, Asta – this heat is ridiculous. I just can’t cool down. We’re trying to get the house finished off and it’s so hard to work. A big pool of snow would be great!

      • or you could always move in into your fridge. I bet fridge penguins and lettuce leaves won’t mind your company at all. Meanwhile I’m eating my n-th ice cream, drink my n-th liter of water, and will be back to pretending I’m working, though my mind is now experiencing a total meltdown and no A/C can help me here
