This is one of my favourite photos from our trip around Europe. Taken in Peneda-Gerês National Park in northern Portugal, it captures Arūnas taking a coffee break on top of a small stone shack. Close to the top of the mountain, the vistas surrounding us were superb. The photo completely captures the joy of camper van life – you can take your coffee break wherever you like!

My sister recommended your blog and we really enjoyed reading it. We, too, have travelled Europe in camper vans (a total of 9 different ones!) and know the feeling of her being driven off by her new owner, they become a part of you. We’ve made 13 camper van trips around Europe, visiting every country multiple times, 250,000 miles, total of 9+ years camping. I wrote a book about our adventures “After They’ve Seen Paree”. We’ve been to Lithuania and enjoyed our time there. We are from Kentucky, USA, and would love to return soon to Europe. Our favorite places are France, Portugal, Czech Republic, Scotland, (really…. all of it!) Won’t fill any more space. Cheers and Happy Trails.

Hi Ceeney. Wow, it sounds like you’ve had an exciting life and a wonderful trip! I’ll definitely check out your book to see what you got up to. We loved our time on the road and hope to do it many times again. It kinda gets under your skin – it’s like an addiction. Thanks for checking out the blog – delighted you’re enjoying it!

Great photo! I cannot imagine what the view from his perspective was — as it is the view is gorgeous even from the ground.

Thanks Daina. It was really stunning – we ended up sitting there for hours, just reading our books and taking it all in. We saw some beautiful places on our trip, but this was one of my favourites.
