Spring

Ah, Spring. A beautiful time of the year when life springs into action once more. Birds return to our trees and build their nests, flowers blossom, weeds shoot up in our grass and busy bees begin again to make their sweet honey. I know that dandelions are generally considered to be weeds (or perhaps wild flowers, if we’re being kind), but I love their deep yellow colour and lush green leaves. This bee seems to like them, too.

I took the same photo with a bee in a daffodil, but your bee turned out better! I personally have always liked dandelions. I keep thinking someone somewhere will discover they are a great health benefit or something…
Great photos!

So good you posted twice 😉 Is it just me or is WP acting funny?! Great pic by the way!

Huh? I only see it once. Did you get two mails? I did update it seconds after I posted as it had last week’s title – maybe that did something funny!

It showed up twice in my reader but my last post didn’t show up at all the first time I posted so it might just be me! Did it not get super cold again there? It was around 5 here during the day today. Brr.

Yeh, it turned cold again. A week ago I had a heat rash on my tender Irish skin and had to work in the garden in the late evening to avoid the heat. Now I’m back in jeans, lighting fires and eating doughnuts to keep warm! Hope it passes soon – I like my heat!

Thanks Margaret! I had to get a bit close to the bee for my taste as this lens has no zoom, but we both survived!

Weeds they may be, but colorful! So delicate in closeup. I shared “weeds” for this challenge too–hot pink ones. Very nice viewpoint, June.
